Black Diamond Video today announced it was awarded Cerner® Certification, certifying that Black Diamond Video’s BDV Clarity™ solution is fully capable of integrating BDV OR video system data with Cerner’s electronic health record solution.
As with all leading EHR companies like Cerner, Black Diamond Video has developed a simple, secure BDV Clarity™ interface that imports patient record and schedule HL7 information from the Cerner EHR system to Black Diamond Video’s Integrated Digital Surgical Suite system in the operating room. Import of this HL7 information supports simplified and accurate patient recordkeeping. High definition images and recordings captured by the IDSS system during surgical procedures are then exported to Cerner media storage for later clinical access. Black Diamond Video’s Cerner Certification verifies this effective interaction between Black Diamond Video and Cerner systems.
During the announcement of Black Diamond Video’s Cerner Certification, Devon Bream, Vice President of Global Medical Sales and Marketing at Black Diamond Video said:
“This is another great example of BDV’s focus on designing, developing, and deploying meaningful tools for healthcare clinicians. BDV’s comprehensive library of EHR interfaces is industry-leading and allows our customers to leverage their EHR investment toward creating an enterprise-wide solution for clinical workflow. We enjoyed working with Cerner and look forward to introducing BDV solutions to Cerner EHR system users.”
In addition to interfacing with EHR solutions, Black Diamond Video’s BDV Clarity solution also offers BDV Nurse Core View, BDV Physician Remote View, and other tools to increase clinical workflow visibility, communication and collaboration.
