ANN ARBOR, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–MV, a market leader in health management systems in Brazil, has announced a partnership to integrate its EHR solution SOUL MV® with Truven Health Analytics Micromedex® Solutions.

According to the North American organization KLAS, MV owns the largest market share in EHR solutions in Latin America. SOUL MV, MV’s platform for healthcare management solutions, provides comprehensive clinical and administrative functionality to networked and stand-alone health facilities, including state health departments, public and private hospitals, emergency units, family care centers and health insurance carriers.

By integrating Micromedex Solutions, clinicians that use the EHR SOUL MV will be able to access the world’s leading source of evidence-based medication and condition management information, as well as patient education in 15 languages, including Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish.

“The ability to quickly and efficiently check drug interactions, provide evidence-based medication and condition management information and deliver critical patient education is central to improving outcomes,” said Jorge Manosalva, Director of Sales across Latin America at Truven Health Analytics. “Our partnership with MV will support healthcare providers in facilitating improved quality of care and cost reduction, with a portfolio of Integrated Micromedex Solutions that will allow healthcare professionals to improve clinical performance and enhance patient safety.”

The integration of Micromedex will include Truven Health’s InfoButton®, Integrated CareNotes® and Ultimedex® Medication Advisory Screening (MAS) solutions. With these capabilities, clinicians can get faster access to the information they need to confirm diagnosis and treatment, including efficiency in assessing drug interactions, all while supporting better patient education to increase adherence and engage patients.

“The partnership between MV and Truven Health represents a great benefit for our customers in improving the efficiency, safety and quality of care,” said Ubirajara Maia, Systems Corporate Director at MV. “By integrating the highest standard of clinical evidence from Micromedex directly into SOUL MV, we can help healthcare professionals save precious time, while providing patient-specific information they need to make confident decisions faster, to drive improved outcomes.”

Currently, more than 5,500 hospitals, regulatory bodies, and other healthcare organizations in over 90 countries worldwide rely on Micromedex Solutions for up-to-date content.
